DLA Piper has advised Eakin Healthcare on its acquisition of Focuscare Denmark, which has been the distributor of Eakin Healthcare's ostomy products in Denmark for more than 30 years.

Eakin Healthcare is a family-owned global medical device company with more than 50 years of experience. The company develops, manufactures, and supplies medical devices across a range of healthcare areas, including ostomy, respiratory, and surgical care, and today operates in more than 60 countries.

Focuscare Denmark markets hospital and healthcare products, with a particular focus on Eakin's ostomy products, while providing advice and support to individuals, relatives, and healthcare professionals across Denmark.

The acquisition builds on a long-standing and close partnership between the two companies and reflects a shared commitment to continuity, stability, and long-term support for customers, healthcare professionals, and people living with a stoma.

Over the past three decades, Eakin Healthcare and Focuscare have worked closely together to make Eakin's ostomy products available on the Danish market. Through the transaction, the strong local market knowledge, close customer relationships, and service-oriented culture that Focuscare Denmark has built over the years will continue to be an important part of the business.
