DLA Piper advises on the sale of Medical Scandinavia to Medu
DLA Piper has advised the sellers of Medical Scandinavia, a leading Danish distributor of medical equipment, on the sale of the company to Medu.
Medical Scandinavia has nearly 20 years of experience in the supply, installation and servicing of medical equipment for hospitals and specialist clinics across Denmark and holds a leading position in the Danish market.
The acquisition represents Medu’s 12th acquisition and forms part of the group’s continued Nordic expansion. By adding Medical Scandinavia’s market expertise, established customer relationships and service capabilities, the transaction strengthens Medu’s presence in Denmark and further develops its Nordic platform for the distribution of medical technology and healthcare solutions.
Medu is backed by the Oslo-based private equity investment firm Serendipity Partners that focuses on healthcare and digital health companies across Europe, with a primary emphasis on the Nordic region.
