DLA Piper advises Chempilots majority shareholder on share sale to Biocoat

The owners of Chempilots, which specialises in polymer chemistry and polymer technology, have sold all shares to Biocoat, Inc., which is owned by private equity firm GTCR. Chempilots is engaged in research and development projects and the company’s primary customers are medical device and pharmaceutical companies in Europe and the US.

Biocoat is a leader in the development, manufacturing and application of hydrophilic (slippery) coatings used in medical devices.

DLA Piper Denmark advised Chempilots on the sale and the M&A team included Partner Eskil Bielefeldt, Director Andreas Arent Jespersen, Assistant Attorney Celine Engelbrecht and Senior Project Manager Sanela Lulic.
