DLA Piper advises Cube Infrastructure Managers with the sale of Umove to J.P. Morgan Assets Management’s Global Transportation Group (“JPM GTG”)

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Glostrup, Denmark, Umove is Denmark’s largest privately-owned public transport operator, providing essential transportation services to residents and commuters across the regions of Jutland and Zealand. The company employs over 1,600 individuals and operates a fleet of more than 730 buses.

JPM GTG, founded in 2010, is a leading investment specialist in the transportation sector with experience in electric vehicles, battery charging infrastructure, rail, aviation, and offshore wind energy. The firm is also one of the world’s ten largest independent ship owners.

In recent years, Umove has expanded rapidly, securing several contracts for electric bus operations with transport companies, focusing on delivering high-quality transport services to local communities while playing a central role in the transition to emission-free public transport across Denmark.

Through the acquisition, Umove will continue its mission to provide reliable, sustainable transport solutions, benefiting from JPM GTG’s global network to enhance its capabilities, services, and electric bus offerings, contributing to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable society.
