DLA Piper advises Danish equity fund Polaris Private Equity IV K/S and Danish logistics company Link Logistics A/S on the acquisition of YOYO Global Freight ApS.

Link Logistics strengthens its Danish core business and accelerates its internationalisation with the acquisition of YOYO Global Freight, which is a leading Danish freight forwarding and logistics company. YOYO provides courier service and sea, air and land transport to several companies with a particular focus on the high-end industrial segment.

The combination of YOYO and Link Logistics will create the leading Nordic logistics partner within express transport with expected 2021 revenue of more than DKK 600 million and expected operating profit (EBITDA) of about DKK 40m, 170 employees and locations in the Greater Copenhagen Area and the towns of Fredericia, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg in Denmark and Gothenburg and Stockholm in Sweden as well as offices in Norway and the US. The transaction was signed on 1 June 2021 and is awaiting approval from the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority in order to be final.

The acquisition of YOYO follows the acquisition by Polaris of Link Logistics at the end of 2019 with a view to accelerating growth through continued organic growth and a focus on acquisition opportunities across Europe, the US and Asia.

Polaris and Link Logistics were, in connection with the acquisition, advised by a DLA Piper Denmark team made up of Michael Vinther, Jacob Sørensen and Christoffer Tolstrup as well as teams from DLA Piper Norway, Sweden and US.
