DLA Piper advised Transport Company Ville Silvasti (FIN) in the acquisition of Frank Nørager & Co. A/S (DEN).

Silvasti and Nørager are amongst the leading special transport companies in Northern Europe, with particular focus on special transports related to wind power plants. The acquisition significantly increases the companies’ capacity to concurrently carry out demanding special transport projects for the industrial sector across Europe and makes Silvasti the largest special transport company in Northern Europe, with a turnover of EUR 50 million and some 200 employees. The acquisition strengthens Silvasti’s expertise in wind power logistics in particular, which the company has chosen as one its key focus areas.

DLA Piper team was led by corporate partner Ilkka Liljeroos (Helsinki) and other key members of the team included corporate partner Nicholas Lerche-Gredal (Copenhagen). Other key DLA Piper lawyers acting on the matter were senior associate Daniela Hallvar (Helsinki) and associate Ditte Lundberg (Copenhagen).
