Strengthened Danish-Ukrainian defence cooperation: new frameworks for joint projects, industrial partnerships and cross-border investments
– Key agreements, support schemes and financing opportunities for Danish and Ukrainian companies, investors, lenders and institutional partners
Denmark and Ukraine have significantly expanded their political, industrial and financial cooperation within the defence and security sectors.
Several new bilateral agreements, joint industrial programmes and targeted financial mechanisms now support the development, scaling and relocation of defence production across both countries. This cooperation has accelerated in parallel with Denmark’s new legal framework for defence-related construction projects and production activities, which enables rapid and efficient establishment of strategically important facilities in Denmark under coordinated and fast-track regulatory procedures.
Taken together, these initiatives mark a new phase in the Danish-Ukrainian partnership. They also create clearer, more predictable and commercially attractive conditions for companies looking to enter or expand within defence and dual-use markets. The framework now provides a solid basis for project planning, investment decisions and long-term cooperation. It also gives investors, lenders and institutional financing partners the certainty they need to support future defence-industrial projects with confidence.
