Copenhagen, 12 March 2020

Dear clients, business partners and connections

Further to the announcements by the Danish Prime Minister and Danish health authorities at the press conference held on 11 March 2020 at 8.30 p.m., DLA Piper Denmark has taken a number of precautions to comply with their advice and do our bit to help keep the COVID-19 situation under control.

We have therefore asked all employees at our Aarhus and Copenhagen offices to work remotely wherever possible, currently up to and including 27 March 2020.

Fortunately, our IT infrastructure allows us to provide advice and perform most tasks remotely. As a result, your legal advisors at DLA Piper will perform agreed assignments as planned and they are, of course, available via phone, email and Skype. Meetings will be held online for the next two weeks. We will contact you to change scheduled meetings to Skype meetings.

Our ambition is to be fully available and perform all advisory services within all practice areas even if we do not come in to our offices. Should you find that the person you are trying to contact is not readily available, please contact our switchboard at telephone +45 33 34 00 00 or by email denmark@dlapiper.com.

The position of the Danish courts in terms of deadlines and court meetings is still unclear, as is the holding of general meetings etc. We will inform you about these and other key issues, as they are clarified.

As the Prime Minister said, we will probably all be making mistakes during this challenging period we are facing. We will, however, in cooperation with you and your business, try to navigate this new territory to the best of our ability, showing the public spirit and responsibility called for.

Let’s pull together – while keeping our distance!
