Henrik Frandsen
Henrik Frandsen is an experienced attorney within shipping, logistics and transport, dealing especially with maritime law and contract law.
Henrik has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and is recognised by The Legal 500, Chambers and Who’s Who Legal within the shipping and transport practice area.
He has conducted a vast number of litigation and arbitration proceedings and is the go-to attorney for a number of shipping lines and shipping agents as well as their insurers. Henrik advises particularly ports on various issues relating to operation, transport and shipping. He has acted for clients such as the Port of Aarhus, By & Havn (which runs the Port of Copenhagen) and the Port of Kalundborg in connection with disputes, contracts and crane regulations.
Moreover, Henrik provides advice to the interest organisation of marinas in Denmark (Foreningen af Lystbådehavne i Danmark (FLID)) as well as a number of Danish marinas on legal issues relating to the removal and sale of abandoned boats, collection of mooring fees, etc. He also advises shipping lines, shipping agents and port-related enterprises on all legal aspects of shipping, transport and international trade, include the sale and purchase of vessels. Furthermore, he handles many international matters and has widespread contacts with international clients and attorneys.
Henrik is an experienced lecturer having lectured for more than 15 years, including in maritime law at Aarhus Business College.
