Jes A. Rosenvinge
Jes A. Rosenvinge specialises in construction law and has more than 20 years’ experience in dealing with issues of construction law, including invitations to tender, Danish and international construction contracts, arbitration proceedings, litigation and survey proceedings.
Jes has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and is a certified arbitrator and mediator under the auspices of the Association of Danish Law Firms.
He advises contractors, employers and technical advisors in Denmark as well as abroad and has been involved in some of the major and most complex arbitration proceedings and construction cases in Denmark.
Jes has conducted more than 300 proceedings before the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board, thereby gaining arbitration experience enabling quite a precise anticipation of the decision on and outcome of an arbitration.
Within the field of construction law, Jes deals with contract drafting and review, tender and project documents, risk management, claims management and dispute resolution, including preservation of evidence, opinions commissioned by one party, expert survey and valuation, performance bond payments, mediation, conciliation and arbitration.
Furthermore, Jes deals with contract law, damages and insurance, distribution agreements, terms of sale and delivery and industrial injury cases.
Jes is an experienced lecturer and frequently holds courses for construction-industry players. He is a regular contributor to the Danish construction-law journal “Entreprenøren” and the Danish building daily “Licitationen”.

- Jes acted for a major Danish employer in connection with the termination with immediate effect of a DKK 138m construction contract and subsequent arbitration proceedings and conciliation before the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board.
- Over the course of 13 years, Jes acted for a Danish municipality in extensive arbitration proceedings against a major Danish turnkey contractor concerning defects in an institution building. The proceedings involved e.g. 8 expert opinions and 4 different experts as well as subsequent legal proceedings brought by the contractor regarding invalidity. Jes’ client was successful in the proceedings.
- Jes successfully acted for a major Danish contractor in an extensive DKK 50m arbitration before the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board relating to a dispute with the main contractor, CMT, Italy, concerning the Cityringen metro in Copenhagen.
