Lars Hjortshøj Nielsen
Lars Hjortshøj Nielsen is in DLA Piper Denmark’s restructuring practice group. Lars deals primarily with insolvency law, including particularly restructuring and winding-up of enterprises and handling of distressed properties.
Throughout the last 30 years, Lars has been in charge of operating, transferring and winding up a large number of enterprises within the real estate, agricultural and market garden sectors, the transport industry and the retail sector, etc.
Lars has extensive experience in assisting banks and other charge holders in realising practically all types of real estate, in some cases following operation of the properties after taking possession of the mortgaged properties or during bankruptcy proceedings.
Lars acts for Danish mortgage bank DLR Kredit A/S in the Aarhus judicial district.
Moreover, Lars advises a number of enterprises on common issues of commercial law.
In addition, Lars has been appointed to the panel of insolvency lawyers set up by the Danish Debt Collection Agency.
