Michael Holsting specialises in real estate, including the sale and purchase of properties, residential and business lease law.
Michael has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and provides trusted advice to both large and medium-sized enterprises and public authorities.
Within the most recent years, Michael has handled cases on issues of lease law for a number of clients, particularly landlords, business lessees, retailers, restaurateurs, major businesses and municipalities. Michael’s advisory services relate most often to the creation of lease agreements, disputes and rent determination. He also provides general advice concerning contractual issues and the interpretation of lease legislation.
Moreover, he is provides general commercial advice and deals with project development.
Michael is also Chairman of Board of Directors of Danish patent agency Budde Schou A/S.
- Michael acted for Danish cooperative housing association A/B Lørups Ridehus on the sale of a property located in central Copenhagen to Capital Invest on behalf of Danica Ejendomme. It was a defined assignment in that the cooperative housing association was insolvent. The assignment involved several highly complex lease-law issues.
- For more than 20 years, Michael has provided trusted advice to Danish residential property administrator Ejendomskontoret Kastelsvej 15, spanning lease-law matters concerning refurbished leased premises, while navigating under changing legislation.
- Michael was involved in related cases concerning a property located in central Copenhagen, which belonged to Danish Oskar Group. It was a project-development assignment which involved both residential and business lease legislation.
