International arbitration is one of DLA Piper's core areas, and we have many years of experience with the often complex issues relating to arbitration in an international setting.

Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations

As the corporate sector becomes more and more internationalised, the need for advice on international arbitration increases. In arbitration disputes between companies from different countries, lawyers not only need legal expertise – they also need good linguistic skills and the ability to navigate foreign cultures. We represent our clients in and outside Denmark in arbitration based on the rules of procedure of the Danish Institute of Arbitration (DIA), the International Court of Arbitration (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and the UNICITRAL Arbitration Rules (UN).

With offices in more than 40 countries, DLA Piper has access to a large international network with expertise in international arbitration, and our lawyers are represented as members of the ICC Commission on Arbitration, the ADR, the LCIA, the European User's Councils and the VCCA.

We also assist foreign law firms as local counsel, and our lawyers are often appointed as arbitrators.
