DLA Piper has acted for Etex Group on the acquisition of Skamol, a Danish niche-insulation systems expert, from the Northern European private equity firm FSN Capital Partners and the pension funds, Danica and Pensam.

Skamol Group is a leading Danish manufacturer of specialty high temperature insulation systems for a wide range of applications within building and industry. Skamol was founded in 1912 and headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark, and has a revenue of EUR 80 million and operates four facilities with three based in Denmark and one in Poland. With more than 300 employees, its activities span across the world.

Etex Group is a global building material manufacturer and pioneer in lightweight construction with its headquarters in Belgium. Etex was established in 1905 in Belgium, and is a publicly listed, family-owned company with a revenue of EUR 3.714 billion and has more than 13,500 employees across 140 sites and 45 countries.
