Nina Wedsted

Nina Wedsted provides advisory as well as dispute resolution services within employment and labour law. 

Nina has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and is recognised by Chambers and The Legal 500 within ‘Employment’. 

She has long-standing experience in conducting proceedings before the general courts as well as before arbitral tribunals and the Danish Labour Court. She has also acted as an arbitrator. Nina provides management consultancy services to both Danish and international clients within a wide range of sectors. She advises on aspects such as incentive schemes, share option agreements, collective dismissals, non-competition and non-solicitation clauses and - based on her extensive global network - in connection with global projects regarding employment law.

Nina has, for a number of years, lectured on HR law for the Association of Danish Law Firms, DJØF (a Danish professional organisation representing lawyers, economists, etc.), the Danish Technological Institute, etc. Moreover, she is a member of Fagudvalget for ansættelsesret (a specialist committee on employment law) under the Association of Danish Law Firms, where in 2014 she devised and launched a master programme in employment and labour law aimed at attorneys. 

Finally, she is a member of the Danish Management Society, VL-gruppe 52 (a management forum under the Danish Management Society).

Recent highlights
  • Nina successfully conducted a case before the Danish Supreme Court on behalf of the employers’ division of the Danish Dental Association. It was a case of general public importance that impacted large parts of the Danish business sector. Both the Confederation of Danish Industry and the Danish Chamber of Commerce intervened as third parties in the proceedings in support of Nina's party and the case set a precedent for a total of 75 similar cases.  
  • Nina advised a global pharmaceutical company on diversity and inclusion in 171 jurisdictions. The matter involved a complex cross-border survey.  
  • Nina is the go-to attorney for a major Danish professional organisation, providing trusted advice to its governing body and day-to-day management on HR, critical dispute resolution and employment law.
