The investment manager Selected Group has agreed to invest up to EUR 50M into the Swedish-based green fund WA3RM Regenergy Developer Fund I AB.

The fund focuses on waste-to-x opportunities and invests in green infrastructure and sustainable food production based on waste heat and CO2 from industries.

One of the projects (currently being developed) is Regenergy Frövi AB, which will use waste streams from the world-leading provider of primary fiber-based packaging materials with customers in over 100 countries.

The aim is to have a project portfolio of at least 5-7 projects primarily located in Sweden.

The investment is the single most significant investment made by Selected Group.

DLA Piper’s transaction team was headed by John Emil Lyngfeldt Svenson, Martin Christian Kruhl, and Cecilie Mejer Helwig Rasmussen.

DLA Piper has advised Selected Group on all legal aspects of the investment.
