Following signing the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority has investigated the potential impact of the transaction heavily. Numerous market studies, questions to market players, customers and partners, and meetings between the authority and the parties have been conducted. Following this comprehensive investigation it was decided by the authority to submit the matter to the Danish Competition Council for its opinion. The Competition Council only handles principle matters.

DLA Piper has assisted Polaris Private Equity throughout the entire filing process, resulting in that the Danish Competition Council has now unconditionally approved the transaction.

The merger process was led by DLA Piper’s competition team headed by Michael Klöcker who was assisted by associate Rasmus Petersen.
