Christine Rahbek Lindhard advises on all aspects of environmental law and energy and utilities law. 

Christine acts for enterprises, public as well as semi-public organisations, municipalities, interest groups and private individuals. She has a wealth of experience in a number of issues relating to environmental law, such as planning, urban development, environmental protection and nature protection. Christine is highly experienced within e.g. environmental compliance, and she also deals with ESG issues. 

Moreover, Christine has extensive experience in land reclamation, climate proofing and coast protection and in providing advice to the energy and utilities sector. She advises particularly on the regulatory framework for district heating. Furthermore, she advises on permit procedures in connection with energy projects, including solar farms, wind turbines, heating systems and environmental approvals. 

Christine is also experienced within waste management, producer responsibility for waste and circular economy. Finally, she has experience of municipal law and the local government mandate.  

In addition, Christine is a member of the editorial team of Miljøretlig Forskningsportal, which is a Danish research database within environmental law operated by the University of Copenhagen.

Recent highlights
  • Christine provides trusted advice to one of Denmark’s major district heating companies, assisting it in dealing with complaints proceedings of general public importance, project development, project proposals, negotiation of heating contracts and the framework of public enterprises. 
  • Christine acts for the Danish Car Importers Association in relation to producer responsibility for the waste treatment of cars and batteries. She advises particularly on the regulatory framework, structural possibilities and restrictions and on the protection of political interests. 
  • Christine has advised the Danish Central Oil Stockholdings (FDO) regarding environmental approvals, construction projects, risk assessments and compliance.
