Line Marie Pedersen
Line Marie Pedersen has dealt with issues of environmental law for more than 20 years.
Line is head of DLA Piper Denmark’s environmental law team as well as head of the Real Estate Practice Group in Copenhagen. She has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and is recognised by The Legal 500 within 'Environment'.
Line assists in particular Danish enterprises, institutions and public authorities in environmental matters. She has extensive experience in advising on environmental and wastewater discharge permits.
Moreover, she advises on the Danish Environmental Assessment Act, including the completion of environmental impact assessments and the issue of EIA permits. Line also provides assistance regarding registration and notification of contamination, planning of pollution abatement measures, clean-up issues, environmental compensation and environmental damage.
In addition, Line has in-depth knowledge of planning legislation, nature conservation and the construction of coast and climate protection measures as well as the erection of wind farms and other renewable energy facilities. Finally, she advises hazardous establishments especially in relation to the Danish Executive Order on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances.
Line lectures on issues of environmental law at the Association of Danish Law Firms.
She is also a member of the Executive Committee of Danske Miljøadvokater (Danish environmental lawyers) and the author of Contaminated Soil as well as the chapter entitled Regulation of real estate in Commercial criminal law, both published (in Danish only) by Karnov Group in 2015.

Line Marie Pedersen has provided trusted advice to Crossbridge Energy A/S since 2001 on environmental approvals, wastewater discharge permits, pipelines and contamination issues. In addition, she has provided legal advice relating to the transition from traditional oil activities to green energy production.

Line has advised the Danish Central Oil Stockholdings (FDO) regarding risk assessments, contamination due to leaking pipelines and tank facilities as well as environmental approvals, including compliance.

Line has assisted Drivkraft Danmark (the Danish fuel and EV charging suppliers’ trade organisation) on an ongoing basis regarding the Danish Executive Order on filling stations and environmental requirements imposed on filling stations and regarding the insurance policies taken out by oil companies to cover contamination from home oil tanks.

Since 2000, Line has provided trusted advice to Danish insurer Topdanmark Forsikring A/S and Oliebranchens Miljøpulje (the Danish oil industry’s environmental clean-up fund) on enforcement notices to clean up contamination from home oil tanks.
