Nikolaj Schmidt Nielsen
Nikolaj Schmidt Nielsen works in our Corporate M&A practice group and deals primarily with mergers and acquisitions and company law.
Nikolaj provides advice to Danish and international companies within a number of areas relating to company law and tax law; he also assists in connection with capital injections, group structures and restructurings, including mergers and demergers. Moreover, he advises on investment and shareholders’ agreements in connection with venture capital and startups.
Furthermore, Nikolaj provides advice to mink farms and industries related to the mink industry in connection with the shut down of the mink farming industry in Denmark, including in particular in relation to the determination and payment of compensation for the shut down.
In addition, he is experienced in dispute resolution and legal proceedings, including within product liability developed in case law.
- Nikolaj acted on the sale of DS Gruppen, including its Danish subsidiaries, DS Stålkonstruktion A/S, DS Stålprofil A/S, DS Flexhal A/S, DS Elcobyg A/S as well as its foreign subsidiaries, to the German construction and services company, Goldbeck Europe GmbH.
- Nikolaj assisted the Lindberg family on its sale of the prestigious Danish eyewear manufacturer, LINDBERG, to Kering Eyewear S.p.A. Upon the completion of the sale, LINDBERG became part of Kering Group, which develops an ensemble of luxury houses in fashion, leather goods, jewellery, and watches.
- Nikolaj acted for Colliers International and Colliers Danmark in connection with their acquisition of Sadolin & Albæk, a leading Danish business estate agent. Following the acquisition, Sadolin & Albæk was merged with Colliers Danmark.
