​Joachim Kundert Jensen advises particularly on issues of finance law, including acquisition finance, project finance, structured finance, bond issues, asset finance and venture capital. 

​​​​Joachim is recognised by both IFLR1000, Chambers, The Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal within ‘Banking and finance’ and other areas. 

​​​​In particular, he provides advice to international banks such as Deutsche Bank, HSBC and Bank of New York Mellon as well as international private loan funds such as Pemberton, Kinnerton, Triple Point and Aviva Investors. ​Joachim has a wealth of experience in international transactions and regularly assists a number of major Danish and international enterprises in relation to original financing as well as refinancing of existing debts. 

​​​​Moreover, he advises both buyers and sellers in connection with business transfers, providing assistance in relation to aspects such as loan agreements, security, loan documentation as well as issues of company law and capital markets.  

​​​Joachim is the go-to advisor for some of the world’s largest venture lenders, including TriplePoint, HSBC Innovation Banking, Trinity Capital and Hercules Capital. He assists in identifying potential growth enterprises in Denmark and the Nordics and provides advice on both commercial and regulatory issues as well as on security and loan documentation.   

​​​Furthermore, he acts for the Export & Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) (formerly the Danish Growth Fund) on issues relating to loans, including in particular international issues concerning Danish growth enterprises operating abroad. In addition, he assists Danish growth enterprises in raising capital and negotiates with investors on their behalf. 

​​​Joachim also deals with copyright and media law within the film and music industry. He advises on the transfer of intellectual property rights and production agreements and provides assistance to producers such as Danish Documentary Production ApS and lenders such as the French bank Natixis Coficiné.

Recent highlights
  • ​Joachim acted for PE fund Pemberton on acquisition finance of EUR 120m in connection with the international investment fund ActivumSG Capital Management’s acquisition of construction firm Nordstern ApS (formerly Casa Group A/S). The loan agreement had to take into account that the Casa Group consisted of four companies to be merged in connection with the acquisition. Joachim subsequently advised Pemberton on ActivumSG Capital Management’s acquisition of KPC, in which the original loan facility was extended.  
  • ​Joachim acted for Faroese electricity company Elfelagið SEV on the borrowing and issuing of bonds in connection with the company’s transition to green electricity production. He advised on loan documentation and bond documentation in connection with a US private placement.   
  • ​​Joachim acts as a regular advisor to venture capital fund TriplePoint Capital and regularly assists regarding the issuing of venture loans to Danish growth enterprises wishing to scale for international markets. Joachim provides advice through the entire process, and his assistance includes the drafting of loan documentation, options and convertible instruments.
