The Danish IT outsourcing supplier, IT Relation, has acquired Itadel and Cloud Teams

The ITR group strengthens its competencies within hosting and operations as well as cloud transformation through the acquisition of Itadel and Cloud Teams.

Itadel originated from TDC Hosting and was acquired in 2017 by the private equity fund Maj Invest Equity. They introduced the name Itadel and has contributed to a turnaround of the company, which in 2020 generated a turnover of more than DKK 300m. Itadel is one of Denmark's leading IT outsourcing companies with around 260 experienced employees in Aarhus, Copenhagen and Prague, who deliver and operate IT platforms for a number of medium-sized and large companies.

Cloud Teams was founded in 2017 and is a leading consulting company in the field of public cloud transformation. The consultants are experts in analyzing, planning and implementing strategic cloud solutions in collaboration with medium-sized and larger companies.

The transaction is subject to merger clearance from the Danish Competition Authority.

IT Relation was advised by a DLA Piper team of Karsten Pedersen and Sara Schjørring, and a due diligence team of Daniel Egeberg Markussen (Employment), Ida Boysen, Kristine Hansen, and Andreas Egeblad Arendt (Corporate), Emil Agerskov Thuesen and Martin Hjørlund Nielsen (IT and GDPR), Glenn Schmidt-Hansen (Real Estate), Anette Moll Berg and Pernille Slagelse Fagerberg (IPR). Further, DLA Piper Prague led by Miroslav Dubovsky and Jan Rataj assisted with the due diligence of the subsidiary located in Prague.

The merger process is led by DLA Piper’s competition team headed by Michael Klöcker and Rasmus Ørsted Petersen.
